Sales up 10.1% in October From September.

The National Association of Realtors reported Monday that home sales were up 10.1% from September. The highest level in two years. With a mad dash to complete sales by November 30Th most buyer's were out in droves buying homes in October not knowing whether or not the $8,000 tax credit was going to be extended. Now that it has, home sales will probably slow until spring. Nationwide sales are up nearly 37 percent from their bottom in January, but are still off about 16 percent from the peak in autumn 2005. Locally here in Santa Clarita sales rose 4% in August, we're slightly down in September and slightly rose again in October. Lack of inventorey is definitely holding us back in Santa Clarita. I predict Spring avtivity will be up again.
