When is the best time to purchase a home?
I have been getting this question "Is now a good time to purchase a Home?" In my personal opinion I would say YES! There are some fantastic deals out there right now. For first time home buyers there are so many programs to look into. There is the Oregon Bond, which is down payment assistance; it can help to lower the interest rate. The USDA which is 100% financing in the Rural areas. And there are non profits that provide down payment assistance.
Interest rates have been bouncing like a little red rubber ball. It is best to get a great lender who will be working hard for you and let you know the best time is to lock in your rate. Your lender can also give you some great ideas on what kind of loan package is best for you. Once you have the idea for how much home you will be buying, contact me and we can find the best deal.
If the home is a short sale, bank owned, or even standard sale there are deals to be made out there. The term short sale for buyers is "How long will it take to get the answer from the bank" Well, banks are now working hard on getting answers sooner than later. I am also noticing that Short Sales are sometimes better deals than the
Bank Owned.
