Studies have shown that children who grow up in families with pets learn quicker, stay calmer, are more responsible and nurturing, stay active and have stronger family bonds. If you are in the market for a new or additional furry family friend, Natural Paws offers pet adoptions at Raley's Galena Center (18136 Wedge Parkway) in Reno every Saturday from 11am to 3pm through the end of October. With a rescued pet, you get extra love.
Each Saturday of the month at Reno's Natural Paws adoption event has a different theme.
-
1st Saturday - Puppies and kittens of all breeds are brought to the center from the SPCA of Northern Nevada.
-
2nd Saturday - Small dog rescue. Smaller breeds, such as Yorkies, Bichons and Chihuahuas are the topic of the day.
-
3rd Saturday - The Boxers & Buddies program brings small to medium-sized breeds of dogs.
-
4th Saturday - All sizes and breeds come to the Raley's Galena Center in Reno from Pet Network Rescue, so you're sure to find just the right pooch for your family.
They say that rescued dogs seem to know they have been saved and are extremely loving and grateful. Bring home a new furry member for your family by adopting one of them from the Reno pet adoptions held every Saturday by Natural Paws. A pet is a welcome addition to any home. Saving the life of an animal can be one of the most rewarding things any human being can do.
